This is interesting, because I had a “dark” dream a couple of days ago. I jotted down what I could remember when I first got up, but I mainly remember it was about seeing some very, very dark clouds in the sky. They came into the house, and I told everyone to say something like “God bless you” to them. When this was done to each one, they slowly receded/contracted and vanished. Except for one seemingly stubborn black cloud. As I recall, this one morphed into a sassy little girl wearing a leather skirt — and she had a matching leather zip coin purse, lol Seriously, that was my dream.

But the black clouds in the sky seem to align with a disaster in the air. Maybe the little girl is somehow another symbolic “hint.”

Note, I’ve had many precognitive dreams of the symbolic variety, a few literal ones. But mostly symbolic. I also got bits and pieces of what was to come on 9-11 (beginning with a vision in May 2000) and a dream that strongly aligned with it in the fall of 2000.

Yes, the stock market, all the doom & gloom in the news of the Large Hadron Collider, and of course the US election has emotions running high.

That can all affect people’s dreams

I think Chopra’s piece is an example of the all-too-human tendency to caricature and demonize one’s political adversaries. Dressing up the analysis in Jungian jargon doesn’t make it any more meaningful.

I find Camille Paglia’s take more interesting:

“Conservative though she may be, I felt that Palin represented an explosion of a brand new style of muscular American feminism. At her startling debut on that day, she was combining male and female qualities in ways that I have never seen before. And she was somehow able to seem simultaneously reassuringly traditional and gung-ho futurist. Jill,

I am a huge believer in the very phenomenon you are describing. I have read many books on this subject. I am by no means suggesting that I am an expert. The authors, however, talk about how, due to the fact that children are such recent visitors here from the dimension that we all originate from; they still have all of the memories that fade with the time and influences that we experience here on earth. This gift should be relished. What an incredible link, and proof that your son is still involved in your lives.

The inner child work continues, I think until we are no longer breathing…perhaps taking this work on now, might avoid senility later? It strikes me that perhaps problems of senility in the aged come when our inner child is never allowed to play as adults - until it’s too late to pay attention.

Thank you Robina, Sue (and Danielle,) for this insightful post!
I am still working diligently with the laws of the Universe but also learning how to better listen to my angel guides, and still get amazed at how they can guide me exactly where I need to be and just the right time.
I started off this morning wanting to learn more about being an “Empath,”and posibly using it in a more positive/benificial way… then was guided to Global Psychics, and then found this post.
I am still on a self discovery journey, and my intuition had told me that one of my ‘many purposes’ was to create a magnificent website to inspire and motivate others by telling my “Chicken Soup for the Soul Story” of my own determination to make a better life using own self help tools to heal my own a difficult childhood.
But it really hit home while reading your post that those important years of a child (at 6) was when I was removed from my biological family, and sent to America to live with a family that had raised me but really didn’t want a another daughter. And I do believe that my inner child was in hiding for many years even though I did expereice some therapy with inner child work. But probably not enough.
When it was time for her to come to me again her little voice had been directing my beauty career into a more HOLISTIC concept in business, and there is where I found that spirit again! And not until 6 years ago, again,I am working through a New Beginning of a New Life and want to be able to help others to heal, and also looking to find other holistic connections to join me in their own journey to help meke a difference in people’s lives! http://www.ourvisionspaforyou.com
