Indigo Children: Fact or Fiction?

Friday, August 15th, 2008

by PMH Atwater, L.H.D.

Audiences interrupt my talks with vigorous applause when I suggest that using labels like “Indigo” to categorize today’s children causes more harm than good. And this happens almost everywhere I travel. Because the applause is getting steadily louder, I feel compelled to speak on this issue.

The new children have been variously described of late as Indigos (because of the supposed color of their auras), Star Kids (because of their purported origination from other worlds), Crystals (because some say they are highly developed), and so forth. None of these claims hold up to the degree that they are made when subjected to objective research, whether via scientific observation or by the study of mystical/esoteric traditions or through a summary of visionary revelations.

A Parent’s Instincts

Friday, August 15th, 2008

Long before I began working as a psychic, I had learned to trust my instincts around my son. Probably because my parents trust their’s… to this day, Mom pays attention when Dad tells her that something is up with one of his children or his grandchildren. Dad usually has a pretty good idea of what he’s feeling - and is most often right on the money.  Parents have a way of just knowing what their children are up to… and when they don’t, it’s because they haven’t been paying attention - or, even worse, don’t want to. Good Judgment vs Being Judgmental

Tuesday, August 5th, 2008

by Michael Angier

Developing good judgment is worthy of our best efforts. Being able to consistently make informed and considered decisions enables us to achieve the results we desire.

But being judgmental isn’t the same thing. (more…)

To Market, To Market

Friday, July 25th, 2008
another in our ongoing series on living the psychic’s life

Saturday is market day, a weekly ritual that we rarely miss. I live in farm country, so the region is blessed with a number of wonderful farmer’s markets.  We began making the weekly trek to market years ago when I noticed my stomach cringing as I reached for meat at the supermarket - and also that the same thing didn’t happen when I stood in front of the local butcher’s counter.  It became quickly obvious that not only was it less expensive to buy from the local farms and butchers, but also that the food we were buying was fresher, tastier, “livelier”. Even in winter when the selection of local produce is much smaller, it is worth braving the cold and snow for locally grown carrots, tomatoes and potatoes, freshly made cold cuts, home baking, local cheese and the best bacon you’ll ever taste!

As a psychic, there is very good reason for me to be careful where I shop, and to keep it local as much as possible.  For me, it’s all about the energy. When I stop to buy potatoes, the farmer who takes my money wants to know where my son is this week.  When I buy my steak, the butcher happily picks out the best cut he can find for me. It is obvious that these people love their farms and their work and they take pride in their produce, produce that is energized by their love - which means that it’s vibratonal frequency will be higher and thus it is easier to digest, ultimately much more healthy. Has Your Inner Child Gone to Never Never Land?

Reconnecting to your Inner Child

By Robina Hearle and Sue Stothard

Reconnecting to your inner child, what does this mean? why do I need to do this? , and who is this inner child anyway? And what has Never Never land got to do with it?
Your Inner child is a part of you, a real being. A fragment of your soul. The part of you that first consciously evolves from in the womb until six years of age. This child during this time experiences the world, and forms from these experiences her/his emotional pattern for life. This is the most important time in a person’s emotional development, because what happens now lays down behaviour patterns for life, good and bad. (more…)

How To Get the Most Out of a Psychic or Tarot Reading

Monday, June 30th, 2008

Getting a psychic or tarot reading is often met with excitement, caution, a little fear as well as skepticism. We want to to believe there is an absolute answer and a solid future that will unfold according to some grand divine blueprint. We don’t want to make the mistake of giving our power away to a psychic or tarot reader when the power is within us. Readers can see the signposts along the way and help direct us in a way that serves our highest good. (more…)

Awakening to your true self.

Tuesday, June 17th, 2008
by Phil Reckard

Growing up with psychic or empathic abilities isn’t always a “good” thing. Way too often such innate talents are seen by others as having some sort of deviant qualities to them, as if we’re somehow dealing with suspicious otherworldly influences, or worse.

Parents or other significant adults with misguided religious views might believe we’re dealing with demonic, or even satanic entities, and they do what they can to beat it out of us psychically, emotionally, literally, or some combination of these powerful persuasions. Believing we’re somehow wrong, we do what we can to shut it down in order to become productive members of society. (more…)

A Story of Planning Blindness

Tuesday, June 17th, 2008
excerpt from the book, Courageous Souls by Robert Schwartz

So often, when something “bad” happens to us, it appears to be purposeless suffering. But what if our most difficult experiences are actually rich with hidden purpose – purpose that we ourselves planned before we were born? Could it be that we choose our life’s circumstances, relationships, and events?

In my research for my book Courageous Souls: Do We Plan Our Life Challenges Before Birth?, I found that the answer to this question is a definite yes. Working with four of the most gifted mediums and channels in the country, including one who is able both to see and to hear our pre-birth planning sessions, I’ve examined the pre-birth plans of dozens of people. These people planned such challenges as physical illness, having handicapped children, deafness, blindness, drug addiction, alcoholism, losing a loved one, and severe accidents. Courageously, they planned these challenges for purposes of spiritual growth.

The Shape of Your Soul

“Our prior exeriences forge our soul-shape in their own image. Each lifetime presents opportunties to expand it further. Like a lake against the rocks. the shape is shifted through repeated action, carved in soulstone by the act of becoming that which we have been called to be. (more…)

A Warning about Gurus

Tuesday, June 10th, 2008
An excerpt from the book “Soulshaping“ by Jeff Brown

“Some of us turn to gurus to help us home. In the Hindu tradition, a distinction is made between two types: (1) sat-guru; (2) upa-guru. A sat-guru is a realized master. She is the way. Mata Amritanandamayi (Amma) and Neem Karoli Baba are said to be examples of sat-guru. An upa-guru is a door opener. They influence a shift in your consciousness. They show you some part of the way. Anyone - your mother, your cat, the homeless guy who tells you to get out of your head - can be an upa-guru. (more…)
