I like to believe that everyone has a soulmate. Do you reunite with your soulmate in each life and when you go to the other side? Also, do you reunite with your family in each life? It is just sad to think that you reincarnate and then never get to see your mom dad sister grandma etc. again. Or do you go to the other side and realize you have had like 20 different moms? Soul mates do stay in touch and often reincarnate over and over again with each other, but there are times that a break or time out is necessary. Then you will see a “planned” separation. Your soul mate is just that, your soul match. There never really is any separation. By definition of the term, there is only that soul to soul connect.
