The Importance of Karma

By James Aten, excerpt from his book Wicca and Witchcraft

Karma is the universal law that applies to each and every one of us. It means simply that everything you do will come back to you. In Wiccan terms it’s known as the threefold law. Whether it can actually be measured as three time is debatable, of course. Sometimes it can feel like three times, or even ten times. It not only applies to magick, but your every day life as well. It is through karma that we learn our life lessons. Not only in this lifetime, but in successive lifetimes. The goal is to become the best person you can in this lifetime. The ultimate goal is to eliminate wrong thinking entirely. So what is wrong thinking? Prejudice, hatred, self-righteousness, violent, destructive or self destructive attitudes, these are all examples of wrong thinking.

To clarify the point here, there is a belief that, in Wiccan terms, is known as the Spiral. The Spiral represents the development of a soul who progresses through various lifetimes slowly, or perhaps very quickly, moving up the Spiral. Beginning with the most base earthly needs, the person first masters the physical world. There are, of course, many mistakes along the way. This is where karma comes into play. The purpose of this cause and effect action is to teach us not to repeat these same mistakes. As we progress up the Spiral, we learn such certain traits such as love, unity, being non-judgmental, and shedding selfishness, hate, and bigotry. We then begin to reap the full rewards of spirituality. Psychic awareness is open, and Divine inspiration is free to enter the body and guide us. At the top of the Spiral, we may choose to give up physical life completely, and rejoin with the All. Continue reading →

Money Magic

This month we’re doing what we can to help our visitors and clients attract abundance. So here are three magical – and powerful ways of attracting mone and abundance to you, first a spell, then a prayer to share with everyone you know and then an exercise that you can work on over the next two months to solidify and affirm your requests for abundance..

A Money Spell By James Aten

You would first need a green candle, and some patchouli oil. Rub oil ofrom one end of the candle, towards the middle, and then do the same from the other end (which is done to draw something to you.) You definitely would want to carve a rune or symbol for money on the candle as well. Once it’s prepared, you would light some incense, like patchouli, or High John the Conqueror and pass the candle through the smoke. Then invoke a proper diety, such as Mercury, Jupiter, or Ra.You can write an incantation, or use a simple one like ” Money, and success in all endeavors will come to me, let nothing stand in the way, and it harm none, so mote it be”. Also, if you happen to have money drawing powder, you might sprinkle some around the outside of your house in all four directions. :-)

And that the power of joined belief and energy by those who believe and trust in you is more powerful than anything. I thank you in advance for your blessings.

Great Universal Creator, deliver the person reading this right now from debt and debt burdens. Release your wisdom that I may be a good steward over all that You have given me, for I know how wonderful and mighty you are and how when we have the faith of a mustard seed that you will pour out blessings. I thank you now for the recent blessings I have received and for the blessings yet to come because I know you are not done with me yet. So it is!!!

TAKE 60 SECONDS and send this on quickly and within hours, you will have caused a multitude of people to ask for blessings from the Creator for each other. Then sit back and watch the power work in your life for doing the thing that you know is for the benefit and blessing of all.

It’s a New World ! Aquarian Equinox

From Mythic Times

Change comes in waves or cycles often with dramatic new beginnings.

Each New Day, each New Moon and each New Year brings a new beginning. Zodiacal New Year, the Solar Year, begins with the Spring Equinox on March 20th. This Spring Equinox is called the Aquarian Equinox because it is the first Equinox following the February 17 th 2009 alignment of planets in Aquarius signaling the beginning of the Age of Aquarius. Spring Equinox is the basis for timing the Ages.

That this year 2009 marks the beginning of a new era is confirmed by an ordered sequence of significant events and the convergence of several important cycles.

The events in the transition to the Aquarian Age include:

1) The Feb 17 th stellium in Aquarius, ‘Jupiter aligns with Mars’
2) Simultaneous Spring Equinox on Earth, Saturn and Uranus
3) New Venus Mar 27, ‘Morning Starshine’ beginning April 1st
4) The ‘most powerful solar eclipse of the century’ on July 22 nd
5) The heliacal rising of Sirius, Venus and Orion in mid-August
6) The Saturn Ring Plane Crossing / Saturn Equinox on Sept 4
7) The appearance of the 7 th Moon in the 7 th House Sept 19 – 20 Continue reading →

Animal Spirits as Guides

Excerpts from the book, Animal Spirit Guides by Chris Luttichau

“Animal spirits act as a “medicine,” which heals the past and brings you the inspiration to move forward on your life path.”

When observing animals carefully, we find that each species has a gift that differentiates it from others.  If you want to discover the medicine of a particular animal, study that animal and look for what is distinctive about it.  There is always at least one quality or behavioral trait that is unique to each species. For the deer, it is a particular combination of magic, gentleness and alertness.  For the hummingbird, it is joy, beauty, and responsibility. Once we begin to realize that each animal brings a lesson, and we are willing to learn from animals, an astonishing school of wisdom opens up to us.  In the days when there were no universities or books, when culture was passed down through generations orally, native people learned from nature, which was their source of knowledge.  Everything they needed to know could be learned from trees, plants, animals, rivers, the seasons, the Sun, Moon and stars. Is Your Glass Half Full, or Half Empty?

By Dr Jill Ammon-Wexler

Many people today feel as though the rug has been pulled from beneath their feet!

They are being forced to ideal with a turn of events that is beyond their control-natural disasters, the plunging economy, and just plain old bad luck.

“The only time we ever know what’s really going on is when the rug is pulled out and we can’t find anywhere to land,”

Buddhist philosopher Pema Chödrön writes in her book When Things Fall Apart. There’s great truth in this, since such challenges force us to determine what we do, and do not, truly “need.” Continue reading →
