Global Meditation, March 21

A global meditation is being called by many different people and groups during the equinox of March 20 and the Full Moon of March 21. This two-day event is roughly the midpoint of two super-dynamic global energetics “caused” by Saturn in his oppositions to Neptune over the past few years, and Prometheus (Uranus) over the next few years, as outlined in almost all of my monthly forecasts.

The main feature at this upcoming equinox and Full Moon is a Grand Cross on Good Friday March 21, involving the Sun and Moon (opposed each other) at right angles to the separating Mars/Pluto opposition. Usually, a Grand Cross is a challenging configuration with at least four planets “at odds” with each other - a cross-current of competing energies loaded with potential conflicts. This Grand Cross even seems to conflict with the equinox of the day before, traditionally a time to celebrate new beginnings for those of us in the northern hemisphere, signaling the start of a new growing season.

While meditating on what this Grand Cross might mean for us, I opened up a dialogue with the Good Professor Saturn (it’s possible!), and a self-guided meditation came to me. I have tried it several times by myself, and I am sure it can be adapted for groups, but I’d suggest doing it by yourself first as it can be quite powerful. I don’t usually “get” these kinds of physically involved meditation techniques, so I don’t know how well this will be received, or how well it will work for others, but I’ve been “told” to put it out there, so here it is.

As with any ritualized meditation, clarity of intention is essential whether we want to send or receive love, blessings for world peace, removing barriers, getting unstuck, working for self improvement, seeking an epiphany, all of the above, or whatever else is on our minds. A suspension of our belief systems might also be needed as you’ll see.

Peace, joy, and love to everyone. Let’s make something very wonderful happen!!! Phil

Suggested meditation for the Full Moon of March 21.

Find your quiet place, ideally in sacred space, or consecrate any place as sacred. Face the equator and stand with your feet together. Close your eyes and breathe intentionally as you would with any meditation.

When you’re ready, slowly extend your arms outward to the sides until they’re parallel to the ground, also known as a crucifix position. If you are comfortable with it, imagine you are Christ on the cross, which Good Friday commemorates. If not, consider this crucifix position to be the gateway into the Christ Consciousness, an awareness that cuts through to the core essence of each and every spiritual tradition.

Repeat to yourself “Be Here Now,” and turn it into a mantra, or use your own.

Imagine the Sun to be a tiny glowing ball directly between your feet. Think of what the Sun means to all of life. Without it, nothing would exist. This is your Source, as solid and eternal as the ground you are standing on.

Next, visualize the Moon as being inside your head, lighting up your throat, third eye, and crown chakras. Even though our feeling-center is in our hearts, our ability to communicate all aspects of love are dependent upon these upper power points of our bodies. Consider how you would ideally like to send and experience the purest kinds of love. Being completely within the here and now makes it happen.

Make fists of your outstretched hands and imagine Mars inside your right hand - your inner warrior - the part of you that gets things done. Imagine him laying down his weapons and turning into a Ram, a proud and fearless force that can break down any barrier.

Imagine Pluto inside your left hand, the keeper of all secrets, which when revealed will completely transform your life. Visualize the ruler of the Underworld becoming a phoenix, able to burst into flames, fall into an ash heap, and rise up again. This is the process of life, death, and rebirth, cycling in and out of your conscious mind.

Your arms will be getting tired, but hold them outward for as long as possible. Hold these four planetary energetics in your attention, and know that they are not competing against each other, but are all aspects of your Self. You have a life force you can always rely on (the Sun), the ability to give and receive love (the Moon), the drive to get things done (Mars), and the free-will to transform whatever needs to change (Pluto) - all inside of you, and in the palms of your hands.

Begin to make the literal connections between your outstretched fists (Mars and Pluto), and your head and feet (Moon and Sun). Draw figurative lines between these four points. Where these lines meet is your heart - the place where spirit is made manifest on the physical plane. Your heart is now open to give and receive the purest love imaginable.

While your arms are remaining outstretched for a long period of time, you will naturally start to feel pain. Consider this discomfort as containing all of the pains from the past, the pain of being born and the growing pains we go through with each learning experience. Live within this physical pain for as long as you can bear it. If you are so inclined, imagine the pain that Jesus felt while on the cross and give awareness to Pluto’s phoenix in your left hand. Know that the flip-side of death is always rebirth, and is only a free-will intention away. We don’t need to crucify ourselves any longer.

When the pain gets too much to bear, open your right fist to release the Ram, your transformed Mars. He starts to butt down all of the barriers in your life. Allow the little dude to run free - free to remove the obstacles you know about, and free to remove the barriers you may not be currently aware of.

Next, release the phoenix (a transformed Pluto) from your left hand. Tilt your head back to “watch” it become bigger as it rises just above your head, a giant bird who then bursts into flames. In a moment of supreme clarity it fills up your entire body with ashes, momentarily dousing the lights of the Sun at your feet, and the Moon in your head.

Imagine this as a ritualized death in need of rebirth.

When you “get it,” quickly throw your hands up to the heavens, and make a loud clap directly over your head. Keep your arms outstretched as if you are giving the Universe a hug. The clap symbolically ignites a spark of your new life, the phoenix rises up out of you to spread her wings, and you become the phoenix for a moment. It then flies off to find new and exciting places your Soul needs to explore.

If you perform this meditation correctly, you will open your eyes to the place you started and everything should look different. Know that you have become the creator who can make things look the way you want them to.

The future begins now.
