I have been amused recently at the number of callers asking “are you for real, I mean are you real psychics?” My response is always, “have you checked out our site, do you think we would offer some 1000 pages of content on being psychic, spirituality, anything to do with metaphysics, if we weren’t for real?”

I can understand the question, however. So many of the psychic phone and chat services offered on the web are about making money as opposed to offering caring and responsible readings...

When we opened our site in 1997, we were committed to being “for real” so we designed a system and business that would allow us to maintain our personal connection with clients – and especially to deliver consistently high quality readings. In the years since we have opened the site, many of our goals have changed... for example, we intended to add many more products, things like crystals and psychic tools to our store, but there wasn’t enough demand to warrant the energy it would take. At the beginning, phone readings were big business and as time passed we tried many different systems to be able to provide a consistent service, but in the end, we just couldn’t compete with the large commercial psychic sites, and when the economy took a dive a few years ago, we stopped trying.

As the company matured, we focused on our core strength... providing solid, useful answers to your questions about love, life and the paranormal. Instead of spending on advertising, we have focused on our service, and used the social media, including our own community at http://globalpsychics.ning.com to stay connected with you and to share what we know about being psychic, spirituality and personal empowerment.

I find it interesting that despite the downturn in the economy, and our business, the Global Psychics team has stayed the same for some years now. Folks have left, but many returned... and a few like Laura Simpson and Lisa Caza have been with us almost from the beginning.

There is good reason why we are still here, and still with the same folks. Our phone services have changed, some goals have dropped by the wayside, but our mission stays the same.
