Psychics spend a lot of their energy reading for others, but can they read effectively for themselves?

So many folks are awakening to their psychic abilities that I spend a lot of my time answering questions. Not just about the future, or the past, about ghosts and spirit communications, about the meaning of the signs and symbols and folks' weird experiences but also about life as a psychic, about being psychic. One of the most common questions is “Do you read for yourself?” To properly answer that question, I must explain a bit about what living as a psychic is like.
The paranormal is normal for us… The concepts of a multi-dimensional universe and inter-galactic communications are so much a part of my life and the lives of those around me that I am taken aback when I meet someone who sees only the life in front of them. Life as a psychic opens you to participating in a much larger world than my geography teachers ever spoke of… a world in which spirit moves at the speed of light, where all has consciousness, where dogs and trees and even rocks can talk; a world in which the past seems to melt into the future as one long purposeful continuum. Mine is a world without borders, an energetic universe where flow is as relevant as action and boundaries are defined by beliefs, not landmarks.
As a psychic, one learns to be a keen observer and an active listener. In my world, even a pesky fly has meaning and may be the bearer of a message. Everything is energy in purposeful motion… being mindful of the movement, the flow around me makes it much easier to make the most of the opportunities and minimize the obstacles in my path.
So, the basic answer to the question of whether I read for myself is: Yes, I am constantly reading the energy of my life and the lives of those around me, looking for clues and signals from the universe about my best directions.
By staying tuned to the flow around me, I am not often surprised. Formal readings where I sit down to focus are reserved for those times when I have decisions to make – or when I want to verify my inner senses about whatever…
When it comes to the business of Global Psychics, though, I will turn the cards before making any major business decisions, and even over a lot of the small ones. When we started the company, we decided that we needed to ‘walk our talk', if we were to have any integrity as psychic practitioners. That has turned out to be a very good decision. Reading for ourselves has saved us a lot of money – and even more aggravation.
Still, we don't have eyes in the backs of our heads… in her article “The Value of Being Psychic” Mary-Anne talks about the times when we are surprised by what we are not given to know. While being psychic changes the way you perceive the world - it pushes you to look more deeply into every aspect of your private world and to take a lot more responsibility for your personal happiness – being psychic is not about being infallible, all-knowing, all-seeing or all-hearing…. I don't think I'm ready for that yet.
