PHILOSOPHER CATS
Phil Roberts, animal communicator, relates a talk with one particular cat that stands out in his memory.
When I visited the place (an animal shelter), there was a really striking gray cat, with brilliant markings and wonderful eyes. The next time the girls called me they asked me to come to him. His name was Boy. He was seventeen. His owner had died and left him to the shelter. He's starting to fail. But he's comfortable, not in any pain, and he liked watching all the activity. They sometimes have kittens who are born there, and he really liked that, watching the kittens grow up. He said I could ask him anything.
The previous cat I had done there, named Marty, had had a problem with biting. Marty had been declawed, a horrendous thing to do to a cat. Cats that don't have claws tend to bite. I asked Boy if Marty would stop biting. He replied, "No, no, no, ask me important things. Ask me if the snow will melt, ask me about rainbows, about sunsets."
The next morning, when I called in to report my talk with Boy, I was told that he was having a stroke. He came out of it, and he's all right. But animals know about these things, they know what's going on in their bodies, what's going to happen. So Boy wanted to talk about important stuff. He wanted to say that whether he gets old, has a stroke, and dies, the world is going to go on, there will be sunsets. They have incredibly wonderful lessons to teach us!
